Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday were normal Go Math days. But on Wednesday some principals from other schools came to watch Mrs. Cook do math! The other days we learned strategies for division problems. Also, on Thursday we did are mid chapter checkpoint which we were graded on for the first time!
On Monday we talked about election day and read a scholastic about it. We also took a quiz on it. We watched a brainpop on the two political parties, republican and democrat. We finished our seed stories. After our seed stories, we started a new writing unit on realistic fiction.
The whole week we made a lot of progress on Island of the Blue Dolphins. We read from chapters 17-25. We took two tests on some of the chapters that we read.
We practiced our spelling words all week but did not have a test on Friday because of Veterans Day. On Tuesday, We did Wordly Wise. First we did our flashcards, then page 6A in our workbook. After that, we started our posters.
